Taking the Plunge

I did it! Today I enrolled in college!

I want to thank everyone for their comments, emails, and support. You guys said just about everything I was thinking so it was nice to get confirmation.

I realized the only thing holding me back was fear.

I could enroll in online courses so that takes care of child care. I still qualified for financial aid so that took care of finances. What else was left? Housework? Housework isn’t that big of a deal. Time? The kiddos go to bed at 8:00pm and I don’t usually go to bed till midnight. Um…that’s four hours. I think I might be able to study in that time period.

So…today I realized my application was still current and my financial aid would go towards summer semester so I enrolled. I am taking six hours this summer and another six hours this fall. Plus, all of the courses are online so my class/study time is flexible. That’s a good thing since the kiddos will be home for the summer.

I’m so excited. I’m also somewhat freaking out but mostly I’m proud of myself. I still can’t believe I did it.
