Yesterday, Youngest and I planted a containter herb garden.
I used to have one before but then I got pregnant with youngest and didn't take care of the garden. That happens when it's scorching hot outside and you're too many months pregnant and could care less whether your plants lived or died. Yep. That's what happened. I sacrificed my herbs and beautiful, wonderful bay tree (I still miss that bay tree) for the comforts of my air-conditioned home.
Since Youngest is older I've been wanting to try my hand at a container garden again. So that's what we did. We went to the store, bought the seeds, container, and planting mix. Then we came home, labeled our stakes, and planted the seeds.
We planted oregano, basil, parsley, and fennel. (We also planted cucumbers but I didn't like how the picture turned out.) Tomorrow we will plant various lettuces and possibly some beans.
I'm not sure if anything will grow or not. I haven't ever planted seeds before. I usually buy the plants and then transfer them to the pot but I thought the seeds would be more fun for Youngest.
