This was going around Facebook a while back and I can’t think of anything to blog about so here’s to boring you with 25 random things about me.
- I think I’m boring but my friends say I’m not.
- When I started this blog I didn’t think anyone would read it.
- I’m still not sure if anyone reads it regularly but I love blogging so I keep updating.
- 123pizza was a game a girl at church would play. It seemed as though she was always changing the rules. Hubby and I thought she made the game up. We found out later it was an actual game called Pizza that our youth pastors taught her.
- When I was trying to come up with a name for this blog Hubby suggested 123pizza after the game H played.
- I blogged at wordpress.com for a few months until I got my own domain.
- I had the opportunity to have BlogHer ads on here but chickened out. I’m not entirely sure if I want ads or not.
- I’ve been using Amazon affiliates for maybe close to a year and have earned $2. Of course, it’s not enough to deposit into my account so it’s like I haven’t earned anything at all.
- I get excited whenever I see someone has purchased something through a link I provided.
- It doesn’t take much to amuse me.
- I never know what direction my blog is going to take. I do know that this is my creative outlet.
- I’m not a great writer. I don’t even think I’m a good writer but that doesn’t stop me from blogging.
- I don’t really like to take pictures. I go through spurts where photography is fun but most of our pictures are taken by hubby. (Except for ones I have taken specifically for my blog.)
- I love to knit. If I weren’t writing this post right now, I’d be knitting.
- Knitting helps me to relax. It’s also challenging enough that I don’t get bored. Plus, it helps me to stay focused at times.
- I also love to read but noticed yesterday that I haven’t been reading much. I think it’s because I’m in knitting mode. I tend to switch between the two.
- It’s easier to write this list than it was for the list on facebook. I wonder why that is? This list is more detailed than the facebook one.
- I love to watch What Not To Wear. I haven’t been able to go shopping lately but try to remember their rules. (In other words, I love the show but you can’t tell it from my clothes.)
- I’m a big girl so I need to look for structured pieces and not be afraid of the way my body looks. I have a nice figure even though I am a big girl. I need to quit hiding in my clothes.
- This season was the first time I had ever watched The Bachelor. I probably won’t watch anymore seasons and it’s not because of the way this season ended. I don’t believe you can have a fairy tale time, spend time with 20-something women, and at the end of a few months find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. Real life is not the same as reality t.v.
- It took me forever to figure out how to use Twitter. It also took forever to get to 100 updates, and then 300 updates. Once I hit 300 updates it didn’t take long to get to 800 updates. I love twitter and am addicted.
- Most of the blogs I read are knitting blogs and Christian leader blogs. At least I count them as leaders.
- My lifegroup leader blogs. She is the first person I have met that blogs. None of my friends blog and most people I meet don’t blog. I find that odd because I love reading blogs. Once I discovered blogs my life was forever changed.
- I started my own blog after reading other blogs. I would read their blogs and wonder if I could do that. Blogging kept tugging at me that I even started writing practice posts just in case I started blogging.
- I started my blog and then called hubby and best friend to let them know I took the plunge. Of course, I couldn’t get a hold of either one of them and they didn’t have the same excitement that I had. Me, someone who wouldn’t journal for fear of someone finding it and reading it started a blog. Wow.
There you have it folks, 25 random things about me. I dare you to give me five random things about you.
