This weekend was a blast! Hubby and I went to a marriage retreat and watched a dvd series by Mark Gungor. This series was excellent. They were blunt, too the point and hilarious! We loved every moment of them.
Not only did we learn a lot we also got to see friends from our previous church. After the retreat, we had lunch with friends then hubby and I went shopping at the mall. Hubby got more clothes for work and I bought a purse.
After the mall we went to a yarn store I had been wanting to check out and bought some alpaca sock yarn. Wow! I’m so excited. I haven’t knit with alpaca before and can’t wait till I get to them. Hubby scored tons of points at the yarn store by picking out yarn for me to knit with. I’m freaking out over the price and how many skeins I will have to buy to knit something and he doesn’t care. He’s all about quality. Oh yeah! I definitely married well.
I finished a sock for myself but the bind off is too tight so I will have to go back to fix it. I cast on the second sock and am about halfway finished with it. This is the first pair of socks I have ever knit for myself. I can’t wait to wear them.
I’m itching to cast on a pair of socks for hubby (the yellow yarn). I have a basic pattern I use. (this pattern teaches you how to knit socks from the toe up and you can change it up as you wish.) I’m trying to figure out how I want to knit them. I have a design I want to try so I can’t wait to cast on to see how the design looks knit up.
