This weekend hubby and I are going to a marriage retreat. Oo-la-la!
Every year our old church hosts a marriage retreat at a hotel somewhere out of town on the weekend of Valentine’s Day. There’s usually a guest speaker who talks to us about marriage but mostly it’s about having fun. They purposely don’t fill the schedule with lots of seminars because the point is to hang out with other couples and spend time with your spouse.
It’s a lot of fun and we look forward to it every year. So this weekend I get to spend time with hubby without the kiddos and spend time with friends I haven’t seen since we moved. This year will be different because my BFF’s won’t be there and that makes me sad.
I don’t get to see my BFFs but I do get to spend time with hubby without the kids. I think that’s even better!
