As the recipient of this wonderful pair of handmade, wool socks I just want to say how grateful I am for all the effort that was put into them. I couldn’t do it all on my own, so I would like to thank my Lovely Wife for picking out the pattern and doing something or other with her needles. I would also like to thank the Truck Driver who delivered the wool yarn to Hobby Lobby, his efforts have not been overlooked. Just everyone… The Farmer especially, if he hadn’t raised the sheep I wouldn’t be sitting here today wearing this exceptionally warm and comfortable footwear. Oh! I can’t forget the sheep! Thank you to each and every one of my four-legged, “baa”-ing friends. Your shorn locks are caressing my toes like they were born for the task. With such a thick and attractive pair of socks I just know I’ll be included in the “best-dressed” lists for 2009.
Above you can see a picture of my new socks (well, one of them anyway) as well as a narrow expanse of leg that will likely cause your breath to quicken. However, please be aware that my pasty-white legs and shaggy leg-hair are both already spoken for.
As you can tell, I didn’t write this post. I thought it was only fitting (ha ha) for him to do it since I was trying to finish up his socks so he could wear them to work tomorrow.
