Fall On Your Knees (Oprah’s Book Club) – Ok, technically I’m not done reading this yet but it’s excellent and no matter how it ends I know I’ll love it. It’s not a happy book but I’ve never been a happy book person. I’ve been a “what can I learn about human nature” book person.
The Big Picture: A Katie Parker Production, Act 3 - This book is hilarious. It’s almost like Can You Keep a Secret? funny. I actually set a goal in my knitting today so I could start reading it again because I wanted to know what witty comments would pop up. “Ok, after so many rows I will start reading again. Let me get through this decrease set.” That’s what I was thinking because I was wanting to laugh.
Clarification: I know I said I’m not a happy book person but this book doesn’t qualify because it’s about a girl in a foster home who gets sent back to her addict mother who just got out of prison. Katie is a new Christian and all of a sudden her life is turned upside down again. Can she keep the faith she has so recently gotten? The storyline was intriguing so I read it. I had no idea it would be so freaking funny!
1st to Die: A Novel – This book I’ve been wanting to read for awhile because a friend likes James Patterson so much. Especially these number books because they have women as their main characters. Since I have read other friends’ favorite authors I thought I’d try out hers. So far I’m enjoying it and as soon as I finish up this post I’ll be back to reading it.
Well folks. That’s about it. Unless you want to know about some books I have bought recently even though I’m like moving soon. So why am I buying more books only to have to pack them? Because I am an addict. I’m addicted to books and reading.
Books I’ve purchased recently:
- Really Bad Girls of the Bible
- Atlas Shrugged
- Life of Pi
- Super Simple Paper Airplanes
- Eden Close
- Resistance
- Where or When
- On Writing
- Rhadopis of Nubia
- Abundance
That’s what I can read from shelf because I’m lazy and don’t want to get up to read the rest. Actually some of them have already been packed.
