Weary

Matthew 11:28 in the New Living Translation reads: Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. ”

According to Merriam-Webster’s Deluxe Dictionary weary means:

1. exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor, or freshness

2. expressing or characteristic of weariness

3. having one’s patience, tolerance, or pleasure exhausted

4. wearisome

I went up for prayer Sunday morning to a friend of mine and asked her to pray that I would have strength and refreshing. At the time I wasn’t sure how I was feeling but knew that I didn’t need a break but wasn’t sure what was wrong. As I was going to homegroup that evening the Lord gave me a word - weary. He also gave me the verse “come to me all who are weary…” That’s it. That’s what I’m experiencing…I’m weary. Being the word person that I am I actually looked up the definition so that I could have all meanings of the word and where it came from and so on. Yep. God was right. I am weary.

So I am asking for you to pray strength for me and also for me to feel refreshed. Thank you for your prayers.
